What’s new
tracklog came out in September 2026. It has had 8 updates since. Every version is below, newest first.
Working on now
Last changeThese are not in the current version yet. Plans can change, and there are no dates. Each one comes as a normal update.
In testing
Your track files
Show tracklog the folders where your music lives, once. Each track finds its project, its versions and its stems by number and name. The track card shows them as they lie on your drive. Open the project in your DAW, or a folder on your computer, with one click. tracklog never moves, renames or deletes a file.
In testing
A player in the catalogue
Press play on any row. The track plays from your drive. Nothing is copied into tracklog. A bar at the bottom of the window shows the waveform and the version. Pick another version from its list. Space pauses.
Exploring
An assistant for your catalogue
Ask about your catalogue in plain words. “Which tracks are not on Artlist yet?” “Set the genre of these ten to Cinematic.” It shows each change before it happens. Nothing changes until you click Apply, and Undo works as usual.
Released
The current version is 1.1.0, released 14 October 2026. tracklog installs updates itself; to check by hand, open Settings → About → Check now.

- New: search finds a track by its name on any platform, by a past title and by its number. Type "17" or "#17".
- New: on the right of the search box you see where the words were found, and how many tracks each. Click one to see only those tracks.
- Tracks with the words in a name come first. Every other row says where the words are.
- If no track name holds the words, the box says "No names". It is a quick way to check if a name is free.
- Open a track while searching. The card marks the words and scrolls to them.
- Accents don't matter: "cafe" finds "Café".
- Press ↓ to move from the search into the list, and Return (Enter on Windows) to open a track.
- On Windows, text is sharper.
- Small fixes.

- New: your first import starts with two pictures of the sheet that fits. A short tour of the window follows. "?" brings it back.
- First setup is shorter. It no longer asks which fields you fill in.
