Ditto Music for music producers
Ditto Music distributes releases on a yearly plan and offers Content ID on its higher plans. Here is how it works for producers who also license music, as of October 2026.

- AI-made music

In short. Ditto Music sends your releases to streaming services and stores for a yearly fee, and says you keep 100% of streaming income. Its agreement is non-exclusive. Content ID comes only on the Pro and Labels plans. Ditto's list of what can't go into Content ID names "production music that you licence to third parties under Sync Licencing Terms". Tracks you license through stock sites or libraries fall under that line. AI music is allowed, but several stores and Content ID may refuse fully AI releases.
How to join
Anyone can sign up. When checked on 26 October 2026, the pricing page listed Starter at $19 a year, Pro at $59 a year and Labels at $109 a year for up to 5 artists. A paid plan is needed "to withdraw royalties and release new music". You can cancel at any time.
Exclusive or not
"We offer a non-exclusive agreement." You can work with other distributors, labels and services such as Bandcamp at the same time. Don't send the same music to the same stores through two distributors: it "may result in your music being removed from stores". You keep 100% ownership of your music.
AI-generated music
Ditto accepts music made with AI tools if it follows the platforms' rules. You must hold the full rights, including to AI-generated music. No voice cloning of another artist without permission. No bulk spam uploads.
Ditto warns that some platforms "may not accept fully AI-generated releases". It names Apple Music, Shazam, Beatport, iTunes, Audiomack, Meta Rights Manager, Pandora and YouTube Content ID. Songs made entirely with AI can't go into Ditto Music Publishing. More in Can you sell AI music?
Codes, Content ID and royalties
ISRC. Use your existing ISRC, or Ditto assigns one for free. Keep the old ISRC when you move a track from another distributor.
UPC. "We aren't able to add existing UPC codes to your releases." Ditto gives a new UPC for free.
Content ID. It is available "for all Ditto Pro and Label subscribers". Ditto says these rules apply to YouTube and Facebook alike. It cannot deliver a track if, among other things:
- it is "production music that you licence to third parties under Sync Licencing Terms";
- it is "Generic Instrumentals";
- it is already in Content ID through another company, "such as Tunecore, Distrokid, Adrev, Haawk, RouteNote";
- it has loops, samples or sounds from sample libraries or royalty-free providers;
- it is meditation, yoga or sleep music;
- an EP or album mixes eligible and ineligible tracks.
The first line is the one for library and stock producers. A track you license to video makers as production music is not eligible here. See YouTube Content ID.
Removing a claim. If your channel is in the YouTube Partner Program and you want to monetize a video yourself, email Ditto support. Write from your account's address, with the video link and the UPC of the track. We found no Ditto page about clearing a buyer's channel in advance.
How you are paid
Ditto says you keep 100% of your streaming income on every plan. Publishing and sync royalties, on Pro and Labels, carry a 15% commission. A claim on a video sends that video's ad money to Ditto, which pays it into your Ditto account.
What to keep in your catalog
- The ISRC of each track, including codes brought from earlier distributors.
- The Ditto UPC of each release. You can't bring an old one, so a release moved to Ditto gets a new UPC.
- Which tracks are in Content ID through Ditto, and which are kept out because they are licensed as production music.
- Each claim removal you asked for, with the video link and the UPC.
- Your plan. Content ID needs Pro or Labels.
