From my catalog. 153 tracks are live on 100Audio.
In short. 100Audio is a royalty-free music marketplace based in Shanghai, China. You open an author account, upload, and each work is reviewed. To prove the track is your own work, you send a screenshot of the project and its MIDI file. You choose to be a non-exclusive author (40% share) or a China-exclusive author (55%). China-exclusive means no other Chinese company may sell your works. The authorization has no time limit.
How to join
You start from the vendor dashboard ("Start Selling"). 100Audio's author page lists four requirements:
- "Provide original certification"
- "Authorization without time limit"
- "Have full authority"
- "Be capable to sign the contract"
For the review, "100Audio requires the musician to submit the music project's screenshot and the project's MIDI file". The page says these are "for review only".
The steps are: upload with a name and a description, review, then sale. Works go online after the review. 100Audio says: "We live for quality and originality."
Exclusive or not
You choose between two kinds of author:
- Non-exclusive. 40% share. The page does not limit where else you sell.
- China-exclusive. 55% share. You "Authorize 100Audio to sell your works exclusively in China (including mainland China, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Macao Special Administrative Region and the Taiwan Region)". The page adds: "you can not authorize any other Chinese companies to sell your works."
So a China-exclusive author can't send the same works to another Chinese stock site. The page does not say how to end the authorization. It only says it has no time limit.
AI-generated music
When checked on 26 October 2026, the author page and the help center said nothing about AI-made music. The MIDI and project screenshot are asked from every author. Ask 100Audio before you upload AI music.
Codes, Content ID and royalties
For the two largest licenses, "Music Authorization 4 – Business" and "Music Authorization 5 – Unlimited", 100Audio uses a three-party contract. When a buyer applies for one, 100Audio contacts you to sign it. Licenses on the site run from Personal to Unlimited.
How you are paid
The share is taken after a 10.7% fee, which the page calls "poundage". The page's own example, for a $100 sale before tax:
- non-exclusive: "($100 – 10.7%Poundage) * 40% = $35.72";
- China-exclusive: "($100 – 10.7%Poundage) * 55% = $49.12".
Tax: "you will have 17% withheld from all China sales." The page adds that Chinese income tax for individuals of 20% to 40% may also apply. Commissions are counted automatically, and the "My Commission" menu shows them. The page does not name the payout method.
What to keep in your catalog
- Which kind of author you are: non-exclusive or China-exclusive. If China-exclusive, mark the tracks so none of them goes to another Chinese company by mistake.
- The name each track has on 100Audio, if it differs from your main title.
- The MIDI and screenshot you sent for each track.
- The three-party contracts you signed, with the buyer and the date.
