AudioJungle for music producers

AudioJungle is the music marketplace of Envato Market. Buyers pay per license, and you set the price. Here is how it works for music, as of October 2026.

From my catalog. 212 tracks are live on AudioJungle, and 6 were rejected.

In short. AudioJungle sells music licenses one by one, at a price you set. Envato is not creating new author accounts or inviting audio authors. Since 1 July 2026 nothing on Envato Market is exclusive, and every author pays a 50% fee. AI-generated music is not allowed. Watch your rejections. They can cut your upload limit from 30 tracks a month to 2.

How to join

As of October 2026, you can't apply. Envato says that on Envato Market "new author accounts can't be created at this time". New authors join only by direct invitation, and Audio is one of the categories Envato is not inviting into. There is no form and no waitlist. AudioJungle itself stopped taking new authors on 24 May 2021.

Exclusive or not

Non-exclusive. Envato removed exclusivity on Market from 1 July 2026. Its Author Terms now say you "retain the ability to sell your Items on other websites, platforms or services". On the same day the author fee became 50% for everyone.

One limit stays. Your item description may not link to the same track on another site or on your own website. Links to your social media are allowed.

AI-generated music

Not allowed. Envato's policy says authors "may not publish or submit AI-generated content, either as a standalone item or as the primary component of your item's final download file". AI is allowed in previews only, never in the download.

Files and metadata

Envato's audio rules, as of October 2026:

  • Format. 44.1 kHz, 16-bit stereo, as WAV and/or MP3. MP3 at a constant 320 kbps.
  • Length. A music track is 10 minutes at most. One item holds up to 10 versions, the main track included.
  • Stems. Optional. WAV only, full length, main track only, 4 to 6 recommended.
  • Package. One ZIP, at most 1 GB after compression.
  • Preview. A separate MP3 with the AudioJungle watermark, heard about every 10 seconds.
  • File names. Like username_song-name_short-01_30sec.wav.
  • Words. A unique English title of up to 100 characters. From 5 to 30 tags, with a word or its root in no more than two tags. The full rules: AudioJungle and Motion Array titles and tags.
  • Vocals must be in English, with few exceptions.

Review can take up to 14 days. A soft-rejected item can be fixed and sent again. A hard-rejected item gets no feedback and "cannot be resubmitted". Your approval ratio sets the upload limit: under 70%, 2 music items per calendar month; 70% or more, 30. See Why stock sites reject music.

Codes, Content ID and royalties

  • Content ID is allowed, with duties. Each item says whether it is registered, and with which company. Registered tracks carry Envato's Content ID badge near the top of the description. A buyer's licensed video "shall not be monetized, muted, blocked" by you or your Content ID company. If a company can't fully clear claims on Envato licenses, you must not register with it.
  • Claim Clear. Buyers clear claims automatically on music registered with HAAWK through Identifyy. Those tracks get a badge and a search filter.
  • Performing rights. P.R.O. affiliation is one setting for your whole account, and you can't upload without it. Once it says affiliated, only Envato support can change it. The upload form then asks for the composer and publisher, with IPI numbers.

How you are paid

You set the item price. Envato adds a fixed buyer fee on top: $4 for a Music Standard license, up to $64 for Broadcast & Film. You earn the item price minus the 50% author fee and any withholding tax. Payouts start at $50, by bank transfer or PayPal.

Envato Elements, the subscription, has no separate music upload. A track live on AudioJungle goes there when an approved Elements author ticks the Elements License box on the item. Envato is "not currently accepting Audio applications for Envato Elements". Elements authors share 50% of net revenue from the base subscription price.

What to keep in your catalog

  • The item number and the title on AudioJungle. File names in the ZIP may differ from the title, and reviewers do not rename them.
  • The review answer and its date: approved, soft-rejected or hard-rejected.
  • The Content ID fields: registered or not, and the company. They must stay accurate.
  • Elements: whether the track is opted in.
  • Your approval ratio. It decides whether you can send 2 tracks this month or 30.
